The essay adopts the need-met theory, the motivation-inspired theoryand the empirical methodology. It states the significance of courseexploitation to schools, students and teachers through the study on theOrdinary Senior High Geography Curriculum Standard (Experiment). Atpresent, our ministry of education advocates that everyone includingteachers, students, students’parents and community representativesshould participate in the curriculum exploitation. Therefore, we canexplore all kinds of modes of operation under the control of this concept. Also, we can gain abundant teaching resources of each subject.The essayanalyzes the characteristics of Geography compulsory 2 in Senior One. Italso analyzes the study problems in senior high schools. I propose tocombine the resource-developed with teaching materials of compulsory 2through the study of the three fields---class teaching, research studyand social survey. Curriculum reform emphasizes the development ofstudents’exploring awareness and cooperative consciousness. In order torealize our course goals, we teachers must make students perform theirinitiative fully in or outside class by using all factors. But how canwe take advantages of these useful factors? The essay will solve theproblem. It will share the methods about how to promote students’ studyand increase teaching efficiency through excavating resource anddeveloping local curriculum.
