The report of the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China indicates that we should fully implement quality education, deepen the comprehensive reform of education field, improve the quality of education, and train students’ innovative spirit. This is the aim of the education reform in our country since the reform and opening up, and also the direction of the joint efforts of the general education workers. After years of research and practice of educational theorists and teachers on the front, it is generally acknowledged that to improve the quality of education, the top priority is to reform teaching methodology, and the fundamental task is to reform the teaching model. And how to change the teaching model and what it will be has become a topic of diverse thoughts.The brand-new teaching model which originated from the west and then swept around the world—Flipped Class Model provides the education reform in our country with a new way of thinking. Some primary and secondary schools take the initiative in the attempt and exploration of Flipped Class Model. It has been found that Flipped Class Model applied to secondary school teaching does provide reference, offer inspiration, and has a positive role in secondary education. Therefore, it is worth studying and concerning. This paper displays a preliminary discussion on how Flipped Class Model is effectively employed in middle-school political course, and tries to provide certain theoretical guidance and practical reference for how to apply Flipped Class Model. Given that Flipped Class Model is a new teaching model, this paper starts from basic content of Flipped Class Model, gives a brief introduction of its definition, components, summarizes its development and present status of research at home and abroad, analyzes the theoretical basis and typical cases to which Flipped Class Model is applied, compares the similarities and differences between the traditional teaching model and Flipped Class Model in middle-school political course, and accordingly concludes its features, based on which this paper presents the condition, the demand, the approach, and the operation procedure required in the actual teaching of middle-school political course, provides specific examples and practical references, summarizes the achievements gained, and makes the direction with the need for further research and improvement clear.
