Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools is the main form of cross border education in China. It is a part of China’s education.And it has broad space for development in recent years. Because of its particular geographic location and long-term friendly exchanges with Southeast Asian countries, Yunnan has a special position and functions in trade with ASEAN countries. Higher education internationalization in Yunnan and Sino-Foreign cooperation in running schools meet opportunities and changes since China joined in the WTO. China-AREA free trade area was formed and developed, and "ONE BELT AND ONE ROAD" in Sep.2013 was proposed and "21 Century Maritime Silk Road" was proposed in Sep in 2013. Till now, Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in colleges and universities in Yunnan has been12 years.It has taken shape, covering 11 universities over six countries. At the same time, Yunnan’s education in general is not adapt to the economic and social development of all kinds of needs for people at any level and can’t meet the needs of the people who want good education. Education first has not yet been fully reflected. In terms of the overall condition of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in Yunnan, regional position and functions do not match. And problems existing in the cooperation in running schools have not been highlighted, such as: the size, quality, structure, pattern are not harmonious; major and needs do not match. Therefore, strengthening the theoretical research of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools is very important.This research is guided by some related pedagogy and management theory, adopting literature method, history method, investigation method etc. to do some investigation. The research objects are 5 universities selected in Yunnan. They are representative and typical in Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.This paper analyzes the connotations and the features, the forms and the positions, the laws and the principles, the theories and the bases of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools after totally sorts out the related documents. And then recalls the courses of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in China and analyzes present situation and existing problems in Yunnan province through its scale, structure and forms. At last it puts forward some solutions and suggestions from the government, universities and social aspects.In a word, this research analyzes in detail the problems of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools in the angle of pedagogy and management. It uses the relevant principles and methods of pedagogy to have a thorough investigation, analysis, induction and conclusion. At last, it proposes some corresponding measures and suggestions for reference for the government and universities.
