M Education Technology Co., Ltd. Beijing is a well-known institution offering tutoring service on all subjects to nearly one thousand students each year. Founded in 2005, M Education Technology Co. offers foreign languages training for employees, youth counseling, adult education as well as other services. From the early start to the coordination of business development to the current specification of the integration of innovation, M company has gone through 11 years of hard work. It has adopted a "low cost, excellent teachers, high-quality service, individualized teaching" business philosophy to win the students for several years. The company continued to rise, and it opened up three campuses and 15 teaching points in Changping, Haidian, Tongzhou in 2010, 2012 and 2013 respectively. With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the domestic economy’s rapid advance of knowledge, education and employment pressure intensified. Ambitious parents who want their children to succeed and who "can not let their children lose at the starting line" and another educational philosophy type expansion, prompted the students to participate in extracurricular activities. This leads to a sharp rise in the number of counseling. As a result, various types of primary and secondary school counseling agencies have sprung up one after another. The new competitive environment is inclined to affect the new competitive landscape. M company is a small business and has just had a capital increase. The new investment, which can be used for further expansion, is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. So, in which direction should the company go?How to maintain a competitive edge to win more students in this highly competitive environment? How to develop the company’s next core business development strategy, maintain business competitiveness and sustained profitability? Every person should think about the problem and this paper’s main aim is to study and answer the core question.This report attempts to develop a strategic perspective, depth of the company’s core business M-primary and secondary schools through business research, interviews, literature review, empirical analysis, comparative analysis and other research methods. Moreover, it will analyze the business marketing environment, the competitors and collect other information to conduct a comprehensive self-SWOT analysis. Furthermore, this report will conduct a cross-comparison, deductive reasoning and summarize all and finally develop appropriate strategies as well as an implementation support strategy in order to enhance the companies market competitiveness and profitability. After all it will encourage the enterprise to make a modest contribution to a healthy, orderly and modest sustainable development.Throughout the study, from the external environment of M’s primary and secondary schools to school tutoring services, it will analyze the companies position in the industry through the macro environment; and by an analysis of the companies own internal environment it will combine their current strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks which will determine strategic positioning and selection. At the very end it will recommend a strategy formulation and the implementation of appropriate security policies. This paper mainly uses the traditional model PEST, SWOT, Porter’s five forces and the like. This business case study will let me be more aware of the importance of combination of theory and practice.Confined by myself and the lack of knowledge with respect to the structure and the ability of the author, the study still needs further improvements and refinement. Please point out the mistakes for correction if any.
