21st Century is biological Century, and the economy of China has been increasingly developed,while Life Education is being valued. Many countries (regions) are paying attention to senior high school biology teaching and the revolution of biology courses. Above all, people are attaching importance to both of the reform of class teaching and the exploration of methodology.While the importance of the society to the life science discipline is increasing day by day, curriculum standards also focus on the cultivation of people with scientific literacy. At the same time, the high school biology education is aimed at not only improving students’ understanding of biological knowledge and skills, but also higher students’ comprehensive quality and ability, in order to improve the overall quality of our citizens. To meet the needs of the times and students’ own development needs, we should not only in-depth research and analysis of biological materials of domestic asset, we should also pay more attention to the reform trend of overseas similar biological materials and draw merit, to keep up with international trends.Taiwan and the mainland has the same ancestor, so there are a lot of similarities in education and the composing of textbook, while Taiwan also has the unique cultural background of its own. Through the analysis of the characteristics of Taiwan high school biology textbook, we can o pay get the development and reform trend of biological education in Taiwan area, which is conducive to the mainland’s biological education scholars reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of biological teaching,then select their essence. So 《Applied Biology(Whole)》, which is published by Taiwan Hanlin publish company was picked to get researches. We hope to provide strength for the next round of biological curriculum reform by this research, so we can hand in hand with the Taiwan compatriots to jointly promote the development of cross-strait Biological Education.In this paper, the static research method was used, from the educational development course and the textbook compiling system of Taiwan by literature study,and analyzed the relationship between Taiwan education 、 political and economic development. The point was the analysis of Class of senior high school、 teaching material content and characteristic module of Taiwan textbook by comprehensive comparison method、inductive description method、example method、data statisticsand so on, and we compared it with the Shanghai high school teaching material to carry on the comparison. It is concluded that the compilation of Taiwan teaching material has the following characteristics: reflect the goal of cultivating people with scientific literacy、the number of illustrations is more scientific and rigorous、the content of appendix is closely related with the core content and improves the students’ learning efficiency and so on. At the same time, the dynamic survey method was used to interview the first line biology teachers in Shanghai to get solutions of the teachers’ view of the textbook of Taiwan.Through the analysis and comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of each module and the characteristics of Taiwan high school biology textbooks, learn from the successful experience of teaching and learning in Taiwan area and high school biology teaching material reform and combined with the actual situation in the mainland, so we can put forward constructive suggestions on the reform and development of the biology teaching materials in mainland China. Such as the creation of close to the real life of a good learning situation、teaching materials can be increased in the track of historical events to help students set up scientific research example, and update the teaching materials in time to keep up with the trend of the development of international biology education 、 pay respect to the author of the picture sources 、 improve teaching materials catalog settings 、 highlight the index function of teaching materials to facilitate students’ learning and so on.
