As a very old comprehensive art, drama includes many elements such as literature, music, arts and dance and it exists in the world art’s field thousands of years. It has deep cultural meaning, high art’s nutrition and complicated plots, acute contradictions, typical characters and clever dialogues which provides audience with the most beautiful enjoyment and the most profound understanding. In senior middle school, teachers should guide students to read, understand and analyse drama. On the one hand, it can make students improve their language using ability. At the time, their Chinese accomplishment and literary attainments can be raised gradually. On the other hand,it can also enrich their emotion world, cultivate their refined taste. As the nutrient of literature, by studying the essence of drama, students will think and explore history, society and life deeply. So we think the drama teaching is an important part of senior high school Chinese teaching. It is obviously that senior high school is the critical period which students can obtain the high quality development of individual psychological health and personality strengthen. Textbook is the purveyor of teaching material and course content. Therefore, the author think we can make further reforms in the senior high school Chinese drama teaching by researching textbook selected article.The special of this thesis is that writer will compare each editions of selected article compiling from longitudinal and transverse the two sides, which includes the People Education Edition, JiangSu Version, ShanDong Education, ShangHai Education, GuangDong Education and the edition of BEIJING NORMAL UNIVERSITY. On the longitudinal side, I divided it with two periods, comparing the standards and requirements of drama selected articles systematically and deeply. On the transverse side, I compared the similarities and differences between the six editions of textbooks like the People Education Edition, JiangSu Education and ShanDong Education, in order to make best use of the advantages and bypass the disadvantages. On the basis of comparison, analysing the evolution of the selected article’ ideals and the different teaching ideas in different regions at the same period, we found the reasonable points lie in high quality selected materials, high representativeness, high ideological level and the inadequacy lies in the low proportion of the selected materials,unbalanced scope,lacking of the spirit of the times, single types etc. Therefore, the writer provides a suggestion which on the basis of insisting canonization, we should pursue diversification and openness in order to widen students’ horizon, persist the principle of complication and optimization, add the proportions of Chinese cultural drama to enhance the national cultural heritage,close to life and pursue innovative spirit to rouse students’ interests in study. I hope this thesis can provide some help in compiling drama selected articles of the senior high school Chinese material.The research of this thesis can divide into four parts.The first part: introduction. Including research objects, the current situation and methods.The second part: According to Chinese teaching syllabus and criterion for curriculum of different periods, analysing the requirements of drama text.The third part: comparing and analysing new curriculum standard about each editions of the senior high school texts’ drama text.The forth part: The suggestions of compiling the drama text of new curriculum standard.
