| Chinese Curriculum Standard explicitly points out that in compulsory courses,personality should be shown in expression and communication and that students should express creatively and writes automatically according to the personal skills and interests. Students should learn to collect writing materials in many aspects of life,think more and then write more. Courses on the fiction and drama require observing social life, enriching life experiences, consciously accumulating materials, and trying writing novels, plays, and communicating with each other. In news and biography writing, materials should be widely collected and then according to the requirements of expression and style, students try writing after verifying, screening and refining these materials. Accumulation of writing materials is required in the three major parts of Curriculum, which shows the importance of material accumulation. Thus, in composition teaching, stress on the accumulation and use of writing material is the only way to foster students’ language expression ability. In the process of accumulation and use, we have a lot of experience for reference, but there are many problems and shortcomings leading to inefficiency. The composition writing won’t be good if that process can’t be handled properly because of insufficient accumulation or improper use of the writing materials. How to let the students write a composition well, how to make students have words to say in writing and how to make students feel happy to write a composition are the problems that many Chinese teachers face.Taking Gejiu No.1 High School for example, this paper aims at finding the effective measures of accumulating and using writing materials through investigation and detailed analysis of the situation of the students’ composition material accumulation and application by methods of questionnaire investigation and family visit.The first chapter of this paper is introduction which introduces reasons for this selected topic, some thesis researches related, the significance of this thesis, research scope and research methods and concepts and theoretical basis related to this topic.The second chapter is about the significance of composition material accumulation and application for high school students, from respectively two parts: the meaning ofcomposition material accumulation and the meaning of composition material application. The third chapter is about the investigation and analysis of the status quo of students’ composition accumulation and use, which includes surveys on the status quo of students’ composition material accumulation and use, teachers’ guidance and parents’ cultivation for the students in this part. And through these investigations, this chapter tries to analyze what the problems are. The fourth chapter is about the strategy for students of Gejiu No.1 High School in composition material accumulation and use. This chapter is divided into two sections. The first section is about methods for To cultivate students’ interest in material accumulation, and raise awareness, broaden the channels for students to accumulate material, rich accumulation of content, improve the accumulation of the method teachers’ correct guidance by providing learning materials, effective use of school resources and network and the establishment of a good environment for composition material accumulation in families. The second is about methods for composition material use,which in detail is about accurate use of material, the depth of excavation material,flexible use of material, magical material and teachers’ guidance to raise the students’ multiple perspectives through multi-angle training. Parents strive to improve literacy, to promote the effective use of material. |
