| The thesis mainly analyzes the transformation course of American school moral education happened in the past 200 years. From the historical perspective, it tries to imply some kinds of regular patterns exiting objectively. In this way, some beneficial suggestions could be put forward by the investigation.This dissertation consists of four parts. The first part sketches the contours of moral education in the U.S. in 19th century. The second one describes the transformation course of American school education from 1800s to 1900s. The third one narrates the changes of moral education in schools brought by the modernization happened between 1990s and 1940s and lastly it expounds the development trends and features on moral education in schools since 1940s. |
