Developmental mental health education refers to help individuals in different age stages to achieve successfully the task of each as possibly as,according to the general law and characteristics of the development of teenager students' body and mind,to solve appropriately the mental conflict,to know oneself and society,to tap the potential and to promote the development and perfect of personality. Five-year normal school executes developmental mental health education according to the requirement of educational objectives,which will improve the level of mental quality of student,promote the healthy and harmonious development of their body and mind,and help them to realize more effectively the molding of teacher role.Five-year normal school put the developmental mental health education into effect,which is not only the requirement of the times,but also the necessary requirement of development of teacher quality education in normal school. At the turn of the century,the Chinese teacher education is facing double challenges of the reality and the future. Seeing from the reality,the student in normal school have more mental obsession than before because of the impact of market-economy,the multiple transition of the concept of value,the life of quick rhythm and the pressure of competition etc. Seeing from the developmental trend of future society,the 21st century puts forward the higher and requirement for teacher education. The four props for the 21st century school education are that "learning to know,learning to do. learning to be. learning to live together",which requires the citizen in future society to possess the sense of development and capability of development. The reality and the future demands that five-year teacher education can help students to maintain healthy mental state,enhance mental quality,know oneself,tap the potential,and possess sound personality. Thus,it is urgent and necessary to study and experiment this research.This research acclimates to the current of the relation between "education and development'',basing on the theory of scientific psychology and pedagogy,regarding developmental idea as its main line,relying on multiple research method,which explores scientifically and deeply theory and practice of the developmental mental health education in five-year normal school,strives to construct an integrated system,directly serving for today's training objectives. Basing on this research,we put forward that the relation between "education and development" should be established as the thought of developmentaleducation as soon as possible,according to the requirement of the times. We should be put the thought into practice by developmental mental health education in five-year normal school,which becomes power to direct our action.Mental health education is the most vigorous field for the contemporary applied psychology,but the developmental idea only concerning the psychological guidance or psychological counseling,has never expanded to the whole mental health education field,which is the major question which hinders mental health education progressing further. Meanwhile,mental health education constitutes a part of quality education,which is the center of quality education. This research tries to connect quality education with psychology by developmental idea and resort to developmental mental health education in five-year normal school to cultivate student's good psychological quality and promote the all-round,harmonious and healthy development of student's personality,and thus bring up the necessary teachers for the 21st century primary and middle school.This research includes four parts:the advancing of developmental mental health education;the developmental mental health education in five-year normal school and its theory knowledge;its goal,contents and pattern;its studying and experimenting results and its practical effects.The result of this research based on experimental study proved the significance and value for developmental mental health education in five-year no...
