Changing students' learning style and emphasizing positive, active inquiry learning style is the main point of this curriculum reform of basic education. Inquiry learning should be penetrated into the instruction of every subject. This article is about how to develop inquiry learning in senior high school's geography teaching.The first chapter outlines the theory bases of geographical inquiry learning from pedagogy, learning psychology and geography.The second chapter introduces geographical inquiry learning of foreign countries, including American, Japanese, German and British.The third and fourth chapters are the main body of this article. The theoretical problems are summarized in the third chapter, including the goals, content choosing, basic characteristics, organizing style and appraisal of the geographical inquiry learning. The fourth chapter outlines the forms of geographical inquiry learning. The project research in geography is mainly introduced, including choosing project, implementing process, implementing mode. The cases are appended to every form.Other relevant problems are talked about in the fifth chapter. It is about the relation of geographical inquiry learning and inquiry learning curriculum, the challenges to geography teachers and the use of computer in the geographical inquiry learning.The article attempts to expose the basic theoretical problems and implementing mode of the geographical inquiry learning through discussing the above problems.
