As an important part of quality education, the school-based Chinese curriculum aims at satisfying students' interest and the need of their character development and improving their ability from all aspects. So as we design the curriculum we should take the analysis of the environment as basis to determine the specific aim, the content and the particular method of presenting the course and to define its basic category. At the same time, proper teaching method should be chosen according to the content of the course and the characteristics of the students. In evaluating the curriculum, the old pattern in which only the results are emphasized should be abandoned while the more scientific method in which importance is attached to the process should be adopted. In this essay, the development and carrying out of the school-based curriculum in our school will be-presented through several cases, and some problems and solutions discovered in the course of teaching will be discussed.At present, the subject Development and Study of School-based Curriculum in the model High School, which is the sub-question of the National Educational Department' s key subject Comparing and Studying of the Department and Promoting of Basic Curriculum, is undertaken by our school and has entered the first experimental period. We have seen some good results and we have the confidence that we will achieve greater success in the future exploitation. |
