21~st century is a rapid-developing era, people are becoming more and more conscious of the deficiency in their old knowledge as well as the desire for new ideas and new' theory. People' s fundamental ability for learning is actually displayed as the acquisition, processing of the information resources as well as the mastery and usage of information tools etc. It has become the inevitable trend to cultivate the students' senses of information and the ability for acquisition of the information in the present education reform of information society. Therefore, information literacy, which is regarded as the necessary ability for a person in the network information era, has come into being and it has been gradually and globally concerned.From the beginning of the study on the concept and composition of information literacy and on the basis of the investigation on the current status of the students' information literacy in the remote education system; The deficency in the students' information literacy in the remoteeducation system has been deeply analysed in. this article- which iscalled self-study mode in the network environment, has been put forward in order to solve the current status of students' information literacy in the remote education system.
