Training of primary and secondary school teachers is an effective measure to enhance the competence of primary and secondary school teachers. In the settings of basic education reform and teachers' professionalism, the problems in teachers training have been drawn the attention of the educational researchers and practitioners. College-based training is a traditional training model for the continuing education of primary and secondary school teachers, which is also a main training approach. Though some studies on the theme have been done, the thematic studies on college-based training of rural primary and secondary school teachers is not enough. This paper, taking Jiujiang county of Jiangxi province as a case, mainly makes analysis on the following dimensions: firstly, make a survey and analysis of problems in college-based training of primary and secondary school teachers; secondly, identify and analyse the causes for the problems in theoretical and practical perspective; thirdly, on the basis of the up-dated features in primary and secondary school teachers training, suggestion is made in response to the problems existing in rural primary and secondary school teachers training in Jiujiang county.In the underdeveloped areas, there are a large number of rural primary teachers. Jiujiang County, as a typical case study of training module of rural primary teachers in underdeveloped areas, provides some valuable experience and practice for further reform and development.
