As the result of the confliction between general education and professional education, based on the applied ethics, professional ethics education has been eyed on since the end of 1970's.Based on it ,the following methods have been tried on : one is teaching professional ethics in sole curriculum ;the other is teaching ethics across curriculum. Of the two, the latter is better in that it can minimize the time and energy. This paper will analylize the model of ethics across the curriculum in Utach Valley State College in order to benefy college moral education in china.It includes the following four parts:Preface: The meaning of the research ; the present condition and the methods of the research; the brief introduction of basical conceptsPart one: The background of EAC. This part states the background under which EAC came into being, including: the confliction between general education and professional education; the rise of applied ethics; the need of teachers and students for effective moral education in college.Part two: The theoretical basis of EAC, including liberalism, essencialism, moral ethics and some theories of Rawls.Part three: The running of EAC in UVSC.Part four: The suggestions. This part puts forward some suggestions on college moral education in China, including: creating an open environment for moral education; perfecting professional ethical education; giving the students more initiative ; carrying out equality in education; cultivating modern teachers of specialized course.
