Secondary Vocational School Students The Predicament Of The Research And Education Countermeasures

The secondary vocational education is an very important part of our secondary education .In the past years, it has been training numbers of professionally vocational and technical men in different fields, and it greatly promoted the economic development of our country . However, until the late 1990's, our secondary vocational education has begun to go downhill, and many secondary vocational and technical schools had difficulty in recruiting students. For this reason, a lot of people have such doubt: if really our secondary vocational education has developed beyond the limit? The author of this paper holds the different opinion about it. The author believes that in the coming 21 th century, it will still be an important duty for our country to devote major efforts to developing the secondary vocational education. While, what reason bring about such conditions?The author of this paper made a case study on the basis of investigation about the difficulty in recruiting students of many vocational schools in Shangqiu, city, Henan province . In the first chapter ,the author briefly described the background of the development of secondary vocational education in our country. In the second chapter ,the author has a detailed exposition and analysis about the present situation and the plight of the secondary vocational schools of Shangqiu city. In the third chapter ,the author analyzed the reasons resulted in the difficulty in recruiting students, in which the influence of traditional culture ,the disorderly labor market, the lower quality of running school and the unitary system of running pattern are the bottlenecks which condition the development of secondary vocational education. For this, in the fourth chapter ,the author suggested that we should take some measures such as enhancing the connections of secondary vocational education and higher vocational education .improving the conditions of running schools ,and taking multiple running patterns and so on ,so that we can ensure the sound development of the secondary vocational education of this city. Of course ,when we do that ,we need the guarantee of our country's law and policy.
