Secondary Vocational School Students The Plight Of The School Development Impact Studies

Secondary vocational education had been brought up numbers of intermediate and primary technological persons with ability and skillful labors for the country's economy construction. But in recent years, because of the difficulties of recruit students, secondary vocational school is facing more and more serious condition. Why do we get more and more difficult to recruit students? The life or death problem secondary vocational schools have been facing and have to deal with is that the secondary vocational school how to bring it's characteristic advantages into play, to base itself upon the fact of secondary vocational school, to cut into the point of innovation to fit for the market demand, to fight for a good living and development environment.The thesis, taking Nanjing Xingang vocational school as an example, classifies three aspects of current difficult situation:the decrease of the number of students; the setback of the quality of students; the tougher competition of students recruitment among different schools. At the same time, the thesis, through analyzing the external factors like polities and culture and the internal factors like the ill development of the school itself, puts forward corresponding suggestions on solving current difficulties:to improve the disadvantageous cultural environment of recruitment; to create new systems of running schools; to deepen the internal system reform of Secondary Vocational Education; and improve "recruitment" through "employment".Based on the latest materials, especially materials after 2000, the author applies knowledge and theories from subjects like Public Sector Economics and Management Science to analyze current situation and give corresponding suggestions. In terms of creativity, the major achievement of the thesis lies in four aspects:regarding the enhancement of vocational training as one of the most useful channels to expand recruitment; regarding the integrative management of Secondary Specialized School. Vocational High school and Technical School as one of the most effective strategies to improve the resource of Secondary Vocational Education; regarding the connection of Secondary and Higher Vocational Education as the model of further reform and development, as well as the future research direction; persisting in the policy of improving recruitment through employment.In conclusion, the author points out that the recruiting difficulties which the Secondary Vocational Education has encountered currently are only temporary and it will surely get out of the difficulty and become flourishing.
