The establishment of market-oriented economic system and the development of modernize construction in our country make newer and greater demands on vocational education. It is being recognized that vocational education should take reform and development to meet the needs of economy. The secondary vocational education curriculum is the basis on carrying on the government education principle, implementing quality education and fulfilling education aim. Curriculum reform is an important part of education and teaching reform. Its task is to establish a suitable curriculum system to adapt to the needs of economic construction, society development and the students' characteristics.The education department of Nanjing government has been devoting in finding a suitable vocational education model these years. Some teaching experiments such as integrated school and dual system are taken in some vocational schools in Nanjing. The curriculum system of integrated school consists of ordinary education, vocational education and continuous education. The whole system is divided into several parts to meet the different needs of different specialties. The contents of the system adapt to the students' requires to go to university or find a job.Nanjing Vocational Education Center is the earliest school in ourcountry to co-operate with Germany in vocational education. According to German dual system, a new curriculum system in vocational education is established. There are not any traditional subjects but four parts, Specialty Theory, Specialty Calculation, Specialty Cartography and Specialty Practical Skills.
