High School Mathematics Curriculum Implementation Status Of The Research And Analysis

In today's era of the knowledge economy, the shortcomings of the existing education model appear unprecedentedly, so the basic education must be reformed. To implement the Outline of Reform in Basic Education and deepen the reform of mathematics curriculum in senior high school, the Mathematics Curriculum Criteria of senior high school and its experimental textbooks were trialed in four provinces in 2004 fall. To investigate the implementation of the new curriculum reform comprehensively and provide the decision-maker with first-hand information of the reform accurately, the author investigated the experiment zones on the Mathematics Curriculum Criteria of senior high school.The research focuses on 26 randomly selected senior high schools of Jining, Zaozhuang, Linyi, Tai'an City of Shandong experiment zone. All kinds of needed samples are selected randomly too. The investigations and studies are carried on by questionnaire methods, conversation methods, observation methods, etc. The investigations conclude the feeling and evaluation of the mathematics teachers on the criteria, the feeling and evaluation of the teachers and students on the experimental textbooks, the combination of reform between this reform and the compulsory education curriculum reform, the appraisements of the paterfamilias and society on the new curriculum reform, etc. Aiming at the existing problems and issues requiring attention when generalizing to the whole nation, some proposals of further reform are advanced, such as increasing government support and outlays and strengthening the curriculum resources constructer, carrying out multiform targeted trainings to further enhance the professional development of teachers, promoting further evaluation system reform to lighten the burden on teachers, focusing on teachers' participation in this reform, etc.
