In October of 2001, the Ministry of Education distributed the Revise Version of the Curriculum Standard for the Moral Lesson and The Politics Lesson in Nine-year Compulsory Education Primary School and Junior High School, also called The Curriculum Standard for short as follows. The Curriculum Standard put it forward further and definitely that from the spring of 2002, the politics lessons ought to contain practice and activity, which shouldn't take less than 20 percent of the annual amount. This is a law document of the practice and activity. At the same time, the Curriculum Standard emphasizes that practice and activity ought to be an indispensable part of the curriculum itself. It's necessary to increase the amount of activities of classroom teaching and organize social activities in a planned way. It takes the course contents as the fundamental basis of teaching and takes the practice and activity as its main form. It also takes the students' personal experiences, active participation, active fulfillment, active thinking and active investigation as its basic characteristics. The core is to carry out the development of students' various abilities and raise their qualities completely. In one word, it is a kind of new study method. In the new curriculum system of the basic education, the practice and activity is not the assistance or political satellites of other courses, but course systems with its own special function and worth. Comparing with other courses, it emphasizes more about the integration of the learner's experiences, social needs and their problems and it has the characteristics of being scientific, practical, constructive, interesting and open. The practice and activity curriculum is adapted to the request of the situation of new curriculum reform, and it also matches the basic request of the new education which takes students as the origin. So, this kind of teaching requests became the concern center of the large numbers of politics teacher as soon as it was promulgated. They all tried this kind of course form in the teaching. As an ordinary politics teacher, I have been working on the initial theories investigation of practice and activity curriculum and summarizing the experience of the practice all these years. This essay bases on my own research, aims at providing some direct experiences for the educators who are engaged in the research of the practice and activity curriculum, and also aims at providing some references for the further investigating the teaching mode of the practice and activity lesson.The whole essay consists of the two main parts. The first part is about the constructive theory of the practice and activity curriculum in politics lessons, which mainly focuses on these aspects: the history evolution of the practice and activity curriculum, the content of it, the meaning and worth of it. The second part expounds how to organize and implement the practice and activities in politics lessons. It mainly includes the summaries about organizing, categorizing, introspecting, evaluating of the practice and activity curriculum, about the existed problems in it and foreground of it.The practice and activity is only a teaching formality of the politics lesson in junior middle school and it's greatly different from the comprehensive practice and activity curriculum specially set in senior high school. But its appearance and improvement has enriched the content of the politics lesson and has a great function in cultivating students' multiple intelligences and improving teachers' teaching abilities. I believe that after our study and research, the practice and activity involved politics lessons will make a more brilliant progress in its content, form and scale. It will not only make students gain more knowledge but also lead them to take active part in our society and learn to be upright people.
