It is common knowledge among the teachers in secondary vocational school that quite a few of the students take no interest in their math studies and their math is rather poor. Therefore, it is extremely urgent for teachers of mathematics to be engaged in theoretical research and practical exploration. So far little has been done at home and abroad. This thesis, in terms of the cross between mathematics and psychology, focuses on finding out the reason why such students are poor in mathematics, explicating their psychological factors and taking effective measures to transform them into top students. It is by means of questionnaire, educational experiment and communication with the students that the present writer has reached the following conclusion: most of the students who are poor in mathematics can be transformed into top students as long as teacher-parent joint efforts are made.
