In recent years, with the rapid scientific and technological development, especially the information technology, mathematics enters into almost all areas. All kinds of trades can't go on without mathematics. However, there are more and more students who"sigh over maths"in vocational schools. One important reason is that our classroom teaching is separated from the students'life. To the students, Mathematics is too difficult, too boring and useless; so the students will lose their interests in the study of mathematics. To improve students'initiative, enthusiasm to learn mathematics, the author selects " Teaching Mathematics in life" as his thesis. He will make some researches on the strategies and methods of the "Teaching Mathematics in life".In order to solve the problems that the traditional classroom teaching despise the students'lives and their development, there are a lot of researches on the " Teaching Mathematics in life". But there are few researches on the vocational schools'" Teaching Mathematics in life". In this view, the author analyses the necessity and importance of" Teaching Mathematics in life". The author look those theories such as Pestalozzi's "life education" principle, Spenser's "life preparation", Dewey's "Education is Life" theory, the Tao xingzhi's "Life is education" theory, Guo yuanxiang's contemporary "new life education" theory, as the theoretical basis for this study.On this basis, the author studies the principles, strategies and methods on the " Teaching Mathematics in life". The author believes that teaching is a daily practice. It can facilitate the students'individual initiative through the cooperation between teachers and students. Therefore mathematics teaching must adhere to the principles of effectiveness, activeness and cooperation. This requires us to change the traditional teaching concepts, enhance awareness of the return of life. To build a successful life for students, the design of teaching goal should be concerned with the realities of students'lives and have a certain degree of criticism and transcendence. We should connect the teaching materials with the true lives of the students, make teaching beyond the shackles of Mathematics. We should widen, rebuild and reorganize the teaching materials through the actual social realities of each student. We should pay attention to the Students'"maths practice"; change students'roles in the classroom; concern each student's participation; enhance students'social consciousness. Let life enter into mathematics; make mathematics return to life. " Teaching Mathematics in life" is to make the students be more interested in mathematics and to cultivate the students'awareness of maths application. Our eventual aim is to build"big mathematics classroom", to cultivate students'practice, innovation and practical abilities.Finally, experimental studies come to the preliminary conclusion:"teaching maths in life"not only can improve the students'mathematical level, but also can inspire their study motivation. It can raise the students'application consciousness and improve the their abilities to solve practical problems and the author offers some suggestions:don't use the term"life"to replace the"mathematics flavor"; don't copy others'despite the life reality; try to handle the relationship between the practical issues and the development of cognitive psychology. The teaching design should pay attention to the individual consciousness, stimulate students'learning motivation and pay more attention to the importance of modern information technology to solve practical problems.
