Developing education on national defense in professional colleges is not only an act to strengthen and improve the ideological and political education of high schools' students, but also a certain choice for colleges to put comprehensive quality education into practice.Since "National Defense Education Act" enacted and put it into practice, education on national defense of university has begun to enter the regular, scientific and systematic track. Relatively speaking, education on national defense of professional colleges falls behind the general undergraduate university. In order to develop the education on national defense of professional colleges, we should research into the target model, curriculum model and assessment model of national defense education of professional colleges.In the aspects of target model of national defense education, this paper first sets an overall objective of education on national defense, and then disintegrates it into the vertical target system and horizontal target system. The vertical target system of education on national defense includes the overall objective of national defense education, the basic objective of national defense education in colleges and universities, and course-setting objective and academic curriculum objective of it. The horizontal target system includes the objectives of knowledge of national defense, capability of national defense and national quality. From the objective of talent people's training of professional education, professional education should consider that students' vocational quality should be improved as well as national defense quality.According to the characteristics of professional colleges, this paper sets up a course model of education on national defense which is made up of two kinds of five courses. Through composing different courses, different programs of teaching courses could be received.The evaluation of education on national defense is an important means to improve the quality of education on national defense, and this paper believes that it should adopt an evaluative model in which institutes put emphasis on self-evaluation and focus on the cooperative participant of subject and evaluative object. Therefore this paper designs an cooperative evaluation program for education on national defense to consult when making evaluation.
