The basic education of our country is currently under the way of the new round of curriculum reform. Carriers-teachers, who reform, are given more responsibility and requests. Teachers'profession has turned to an important developmental direction nowadays. Achieving the profession's the best way is to let teachers participate in the research, that is to say, teachers deal with their own daily teaching behaviors and at the same time carry on their students'study of system, norm and careful investigation. School-based research is an important form that teachers participated in."School-based research", the concept was introduced to our country in the 90's in the 20th century. Afterward, these terms, such as"school-based curriculum","school-based management"and"school-based research"emerged at that time. The new round curriculum reform has been carried on by our country, place and school, which gives"school-based"teaching research the support in the policy .School-based research refers to the research activities that center on teaching problems during the teaching process. For school-based research, the school is the main battlefield, the teacher is the principal part, the teaching problem is the core and the activity research is the main way. However, the study of lesson example is the concrete form .Which makes up the imbalance of the theories and practice and pushes forward the new round of the curriculum reform smoothly.This research takes Mr. Wang's growing process as the case. Mr. Wang is a Chinese teacher working in the primary school attached to Jinan Normal School. This research analyzes the function and value of this school-based research, which tries to vividly explain the practice of school-based research with the first hand materials so that it can provide the reference for teachers now working at school to promote the school-based research. This thesis is composed by several parts as follows:The first par"tthe basic theories of school-based research", discusses the theatrical problems such as"the content and characteristic of school-based research"and"the basic forms of school-based research".The second part"the practice of this teaching research carried by the primary school attached to Jinan Normal School to promote the Chinese teachers'professional growing process", which takes the teaching research carried by Jinan Normal School as the object. Firstly it introduces the basic forms carried by the school. Then it goes on the basis of Mr. Wang's growing process in this teaching research. It analyses the changes before and after Mr. Wang participating in this research and tries to prove the value and function of school-based research for Chinese teachers'professional growth.The third part"views on this school-based research to promote Chinese teachers'professional growth". The last part of the thesis is the reasonable thinking about the relationship between this school-based teaching research and Chinese teachers'professional growth. The writer elaborates the school-based research how to acquire the real results in the practice and provides suggestions for this research; then it analyses the real growth which teachers acquired form this practice and definitely points out the responsibility which the school masters, that is, designers and organizers of school-based research, should take.
