University Knowledge Management System Construction And Implementation Of Research

With the popularization, internationalization and needs diversification of higher education, the competition between universities is becoming increasingly fierce, that has reached the "Warring States era". As a special kind of knowledge industry, universities need to promote their core competence urgently. Universities are typical knowledge-intensive organizations, and knowledge is the core resource and asset of creating value. The foundation of universities' core competence is knowledge, and knowledge management is the process to enhance the performance of organization and create, access and use knowledge. So the introduction of knowledge management is an effective strategy to enhance the core competence of universities.However, the issue of knowledge management in university has not really been put on the agenda. The study of university knowledge management is still in the initial stage to be launched at home and abroad. This paper introduces the theory of knowledge management to higher education for exploring how knowledge management operates in university, and study the model of university knowledge management system, which has strong innovation and practicability. It includes five contents:1. The first part is the analysis of this paper's background, purpose and significance, introducing the domestic and international theory which is relevant, analysing the existing problems, and introducing this paper's methodology, ideas and main research contents.2. The second part is the analysis of the counterpart between three knowledge production activities (education and training, scientific research activities, application and development activities) and three basic social functions (personnel training, scientific research, social services)of universities, and the essence and elements of core competence of universities, the relation of the elements and core competence, and summing up how to find some way to promote core competence with knowledge management.3. The third part is the analysis of the concept model and logic structure of knowledge management system, summarizing and analysing three typical knowledge management system models which based on multi-agent, B/S mode, "society - technology" double perspective, pointing out the problems for improving them and constructing the model of university knowledge management system, explaining its structure and summarizing the key technologies.4. The fourth part proposes the objectives, characteristics and contents of university knowledge management system, analysing its specific functional modules and workflow, discussing how to carry out university knowledge management system and constructing its framework model, putting forward university library knowledge management system as one example of university knowledge management systems, exploring its model and structure, analysing its main functions.5. The last part summarizes the whole paper and innovations, proposing the forecast of this research.
