Inquiry teaching is a kind of scientific teaching method welcomed and highly praised in different countries. It has the advantage of training the talents, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional teaching method in the application in junior high school Ideology & Morality teaching is a question worth researching.Inquiry teaching doesn't pay attention to the system of the knowledge itself, but focuses on the knowledge experience and method use. It argues that students should be aroused with doubts and ideas in different levels through developing opening, critical, and creative thinking in the students in order to form knowledge system, and value recognition. It breaks the traditional teaching form and carries a lot of unique characters such as various teaching patterns, facing the society and life; focusing on the individuality of different students, healthy teacher-student relation, and so on, so that the students can solve their own problems.This thesis aims at putting forward some elementary proposals on Ideology & Morality inquiry teaching and takes a deep analysis of the application of this method in junior high school Ideology & Morality teaching, thus carrying out the inquiry teaching in junior high school. The theme may be displayed in the following three aspects:I. The feasibility study of the implementation of Ideology & Morality inquiry teaching in junior high school: In this part, the presenter explains the feasibility and necessity of inquiry teaching according to the features of Ideology & Morality knowledge and the aims of this course, the psychology of sensor students and the on-going reform in our education system.II. The principle and the applying method of Ideology & Morality inquiry teaching in junior high school. In this part, the presenter explores the basic strategy of the application according to the principles which students abide by during their study.III. The teaching design and practice of Ideology & Morality inquiry teaching in junior high school. In this part, the presenter will introduce the teaching process of Ideology & Morality inquiry teaching inside and out of class according to the application strategy and the cases of teaching design. The presenter also puts forward some examples and inspiration for the future application on the basis analytic and retrospective results.
