Nowadays, the determinant of one nation’s national strength andcompetitiveness is the creativity of his talented people, so lots of nations view theeducation reform as the most important way to strengthen their competitiveness, sohow to change the learning style has automatically become what we concern mostduring the reform process. The inquiry study activity is accurded,it has been valuedand promoted in recent years。how to combine its theoretical research with thepractice to improve the effectiveness of teaching ideology and morality course is aquestion that worth to be researched.This thesis is combining with the teaching practice focuses on the utilization ofthe inquiry study on the ideology and morality course in the middle school. It will beseparated into five sections;Section Ⅰis the preface, stating the rise of the issue ofinquiry study in the ideology and morality course in the middle school, the generalsurvey of the studies around the world, its definition, researching method and majortheory basis;Section Ⅱ is the significance of opening the inquiry study in theideology and morality course in the middle school;Section Ⅲ is the detail of theinquiry study; combining with the teaching contents and students’ real condition, itsorts out the contents in the proper inquiry study during the four years’ ideology andmorality course in the middle school. By this means, leading the students to developindependently and harmoniously in the practices which aim at helping the studentsto fit in the society;Section Ⅳ is the implementation of the inquiry study in theideology and morality course in the middle school, the author elaborates theteaching process of the implementation of the inquiry study, and gives some analysisand in retrospection to the result. At the same time, it cultivates their learning abilityso that they can gain the development of knowledge, ability and emotion.;SectionⅤ is the elaboration of the inquiry study in the ideology and morality course in themiddle school; it is the developmental assessment which is based on highlyrespecting students’ personalities, and achieve the consistent of the evaluation ofthe results and the processes. The evaluation of the inquiry study which makes students know themselves, build up their confidence, stimulate their passion to thestudy and thirst for knowledge, promote their all-around development during theinquiry study.It has been proved after two years’ teaching practices that the inquiry study haschanged the ideology and morality course in the middle schools a lot, which takes asolid step for quality education. Certainly, there are some questions which is need tobe solved and explored during the practices, so I raise and share them with theexperts and researchers.
