Since Professor Huang Xiting published Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale, Time Management Disposition had became a special topic in China. A series of empirical researches on the Time Management Dispositions of students was conducted in high schools or in colleges, but not in military academies. Those students in military academies form a special group which must take part in drilling. Perhaps, the special management give influence to their development of the time management disposition. Considering that students in military academies have two origins and receive drills of different grades, which also can influent their time management dispositions, we see the aim of the study as to research the differences of time management dispositions among the students in military academies from high schools, those in military academies from army crops and students in general colleges. To improve the efficiency, the author first improved Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale, having found the structure contradiction in it.421 students in general colleges, 461 students in military academies after high schools, 205 students in military academies from army crops, who study liberal arts, science or engineering course of both junior and senior classes participated in the investigation.Conclusions of research have been drawn as follows:(1) Time management dispositions consist of four components: senses of time management efficiency,time management thoughts,time management capacity or performance,senses of time management value.(2) There are differences between time management dispositions of the students in general colleges and military academies. The latter have better senses of time management efficiency. Regarding the time management capacity, for the liberal arts, students in military academies are better than those in general colleges; for the science course, origins and grades distinctively alternatively affect the capacity: concerning the junior grades, students in general colleges are better than those in military academies and for the upperclassmen, the situation is reverse; in view of the students of engineering course, those in military academies from high schools have better senses of time management efficiency and time management thoughts than those in general colleges, while the latter have stronger time management capacity than the former.(3) The time management dispositions of students in military academies vary in grades and majors. Regarding the senses of time management efficiency, students of engineering course are the best while students of liberal arts are the weakest, and at the same time, students of junior grades are better than those of senior grades; regarding the time management thoughts, students of liberal arts are the best while those of engineering course are the weakest; regarding the time management capacity, students of liberal arts are the best while those of science course are the weakest , moreover, in military academies, for the liberal arts, students of junior grades are better thanupperclassmen and for the science and engineering course, reverse result is founded.(4) Comparing the students of engineering course in military academies from high schools and army crops, the former have better senses of time management efficiency while the latter have stronger time management capacity.Basing on above-mentioned conclusions, we think that during the process of teaching and management in military academies we should help students to build up correct study values and pay more attention to cultivate their time management capacity.
