To cultivate Undergraduates' Career Planning Competence effectively. Based on the correlative researches about the career planning competence in and abroad, this thesis explores the structure of undergraduates' career planning competence by literature study, interview, questionnaire survey; Compiles Undergraduates' Career Planning Competence Questionnaire; and studies the effect of demographic variables on Career Planning Competence.Subjects were 515 students from five universities in Nanjing and Zhenjiang City. The results show that:(1) The structure of undergraduates' career planning competence has five factors: competence of environment exploring, competence of self-cognition, competence of target identifying, competence of making plan, competence of feedback amendment.(2) The item characteristics of the scale are acceptable, the internal consistency reliability and construct validity of the scale are reasonable.(3) The score of undergraduates' career planning competence is higher than average, in which the scores of competence of environment exploring and feedback amendment are higher.(4) Undergraduates' Career Planning Competence are significant different between gender, grade, region, major; but no different between whether or not student leader. Competence of target identifying, competence of making plan and competence of self-cognition are significant different between gender. Competence of target identifying and competence of environment exploring are significant different between grade. Competence of target identifying, competence of self-cognition and competence of environment exploring are significant different between region. Competence of making plan and competence of environment exploring are significant different between major. Competence of environment exploring is significant different between being or not student leader.
