This thesis is divided into five chapters. It expounds the scope and field of application of the'Non-Material Teaching Method'from different prospective as the present educational pattern of our country, the characteristics of the information education curriculum in primary and secondary schools, the applying conditions of the"Non-Material Teaching Method"under our country educational system, how to carry out and appraise the"Non-Material Teaching Method"under the educational environment in our country. The first chapter summarizes the present situation of education in our country and sets forth the necessity of the existence of the"Non-Material Teaching Method", in view of the characteristics of the information education in the primary and secondary schools, including foundation, applicability, conformability and interest. The second chapter elaborates the conditions which the network resources provide the"Non-Material Teaching Method"with, the influence of the modern education pattern on"the Non-Material Teaching Method", the principle of selecting teaching subjects and the implementation of"the Non-Material Teaching Method". This chapter is the core of the entire paper. It elaborates the ways of selecting teaching materials and the implementation of the teaching process through teaching examples, which gives full demonstration to the applying field of this teaching method. The third chapter elaborates how"the Non-Material Teaching Method"meets with the modern educational system, how it combines with the test system and the proportional of the setting in every subject. The fourth chapter elaborates the present applying situation of"the Non-Material Teaching Method"in the domestic and foreign teaching and the ways to popularize this method in our country. The fifth chapter makes the summarized commentary, which elaborates the effect of"the Non-Material Teaching Method"on the educational system reform.
