After World War II, the cold war on science and technology between US and Russia begins. In 1957, the first man made satellite launched by Russia greatly shock US. The advantage position of US was threatened. The whole America imputes all these to the failure of education. In 1958, the US government issues the "National defense education act", with the financial support from "National science financial group" and some other private support, the modern revolution around science, mathematic, foreign language begins. In the aspect of science curriculum reformation, the America made a series of meaningful science curriculum, such as PSSC physic, CBA chemistry, BSCS biology, SMSG mathematic. The guideline of these science curriculums are structural curriculum theory.The previous researches were mainly focus on theory level. The combining research of structural curriculum theory and PSSC physics is scarce. This paper first investigates the empirical naturalist related to structural curriculum theory, and then research on the philosophy and psychology foundation of structural curriculum theory. The mainly part of the paper first discuss the times background of the structural curriculum theory's beginning and development, and then use the practice of structural curriculum theory on PSSC physics to explain the course content, course goal, course evaluation of structural curriculum theory. Through the analysis of practice of structural curriculum theory to provide enlightenment and reference for reform of our country's basic education.
