Since reform and opening, a special and large group of children—left-behind children formed in rural areas with the rising migrant workers in cities. The education problem of left-behind children in rural areas became more and more severe as the development of urban and rural economic reform. This paper investigates the general survival situation of those children in doing questionnaires and deep interviews in Bay WanShui, Kaili, Guizhou Province. The basic situation, family status and education status of the left-behind children has been researched. This paper also reveals that the general education problem and the "New Stay Problems" based on financial crisis. This article explored and provide solutions to the education problems of left-behind children for the local government and schools to provide constructive comments to improve the educational status of left-behind children in rural areas, promoting basic education in minority areas of rural sustainable development.This paper is divided into four parts. Introduction as the first part introduces the purpose of this topic and demonstrates the literature review in China. The second section describes the background of geographical environment, local history and culture of Kali, Guizhou Province. It also reveals the basic education status and the basic situation of existed left-behind children in Bay WanShui, and then, a case study which analysis the education problems of left-behind children in Bay WanShui based on the statistical results of questionnaires. In the thirth part, solutions and recommendations are put forward to the education problems of left-behind children in WanShui, Kali, GuiZhou Province. The last part of the article re-thinks the "new stay problem" suffered by left-behind children in the context of current financial crisis.
