The Biology Olympiad competition for the high school student in China,as one of the most important subject competitions at home,has attracted both the educational scholars and the teachers'attention, together with the fact that the Biology Olympiad group has made brilliant achievements in all kinds of competition at abroad. However,recently, because of the policy of the bonus point in the college ectrance examination for those winners in the Biology Olympiad competition,Olympiad competition is facing an unprecedented criticize,not to mention the problem that students involved in the Olympiad competition group tend to prefer to certain subject.Based on the issue above,the author ever experienced the Biology Olympiad training, points the the Biology Olympiad Education,as the Quality Education,is supposed to teach students "learning to learn".That is, exercises and medals is not the most important,developing the students'the self-learning ability is the No.1 job.The development of self-regulated learning which is advantageous to improve the learning capability and the future,is the foundation and core of students' knowning how to learn. So developing the Biology Olympiad students'self-regulated learning ability is the best way to promote the level in learning to learn,which also is the surest way to improve students' Life Scientific literacy.How to raise the ability of students'self-regulated learning is becoming an important problem urgently needing to be solved in the teaching practice nowadays. After studying the related literature, the author set the cooperative learning down (which has the characteristic of self-learning) as the experimental method for teaching. In order to test whether or not the students has learned to learn after the group learning,the author applied a system of the more practical and easily conducted cooperative learning strategy to the practical teaching situation, which is also the innovation point in this research.In order to find the feasible cooperative learning strategies to develop the the Biology Olympiad students'self-regulated learning ability,we have made an intensive study and exploration of the changes in the self-regulated ability and strategies after undergoing the cooperative learning,and the impact factor for the self-regulated ability and its'changes before and after the cooperative learning. The objects of research is the Biology Olympiad training class of the Xinhua secondary school in Tianjin., the author divided the subjects(92 students in all) into two group:the experimental class(47 subjects) and the control class(45 subjects). I use the methods of analyzing,surveying,and interviewing, combining the modern instructioanal and psychological theory, together with several questionnnaire,that is, the questionnaire of the self-regulated ability learning made by Dongqi,Zhouyong etc., the questionnaire of the meta-cognition ability made by Liu Xiaoming,the questionnaire of the self-efficacy made by Wang Zhenhong, the questionnaire of the learnig motivation made by Yu Anbang,and Ames'the questionnaire of the achievement goal attribution.The following is the result of the study:the experimental students had the significant changes both in the the self-regulated ability and strategies after undergoing the cooperative learning,the P has changed from the>0.05 to the<0.05,<0. 001 and the<0.0001 (P in the correcting strategies=0.008; P in the adjustting the approach strategies-0.002); the higher marks the students got in the self-efficacy test (and the inner learning motivation,mastery goals) the stronger the self-regulated ability is; the self-regulated ability has a close connection with those impact factor,especially the self-efficacy; the coefficient of determination has improved shows that the relativities undergo a subtle change after the cooperative learning.Finally the author reached the conclusion as follows:firstly, the Biology Olympiad training class has got rid of the old teaching strategies,which aims at the knowledge and skill only,and successfully cultured the students who can be all-round development of human being;secondly,because the Biology Olympiad learning mainly depends on the self-learning,so students under this training group have more need to develop their self-regulated ability,that means,they must analyze and solve the problem by themselves,not the teachers and books anymore;thirdly,the Life Science,being rich and always update,is really a challenge for the high school students.If we want to product the best desired effect in the learning, the instruction from the experts and scholars related to the Biology Olympiad competition is really indispensable,except the encourage from the groupmate under the cooperative learning.
