This thesis ,from the view of a teacher, based on PEP version senior physics textbook and Physics for You (9-12 Grade), has employed literature analytic approach , statistic analytic approach and case analytic approach to focus on the research as follows:Firstly, from the view of the overall comparison, the status and features of education and test system between China and Britain.Secondly, this thesis compares the curriculum standards of high school between China and Britain.Thirdly, from the text angle, this thesis compares the essential factors in form of the two sets of textbooks including the contents, figues, columns, experiments and exercises. Then, take"Push and pull"as an example, compares the difference between the two text books.Fourthly, this thesis compares the test papers of China and Britain.Fifthly, the thesis analyzes the characteristics of the two sets of textbooks.By comparing the two sets of textbooks, this thesis defines the differences in the ideas of physics education and teaching methods in the two countries. It contains positive significance to know the differences between the two series of physics textbooks. It also contains reference value to improve compiling our country's physics textbook. Finally, the author suggests that a brief introduction to modern physics be covered in the textbook for unified exam, teaching material be more interesting, unified exam be arranged reasonabally, and test of students'skill and practical ability for experiments not be neglected.
