Graduate Employment Research

At the present with the rapid development of the training scale of higher education of our country, the problems revealed in the university students' employment are more and more and become increasingly complex. This condition has produced the negative effect to the development of our country's higher education, the running of the national economy and the structuring of socialism's harmonious society. This thesis aims to carry out the survey of college student on the basis of demonstration. This subject has important practical significance on the theory and practice of the alleviation of the university students' employment. Beginning with the definition of the problem of university students' employment, combined with the situation of university students' employment in Qingdao, the thesis combines the macroeconomic situation of the country and the typical data of some region, to summarize three major issues. The first, there is a contradiction between the substantially increase of graduation and the limited absorbed capacity of social employment. The second, there is a contradiction between the quality of personnel training and social needs. Finally, three is the problem of the structural imbalance employment in the course university students'employment. And then, the author sums up the four factors resulted to problems from the community, schools, families, and graduates. The social factors include socio-economic environment, market economy, the negative effects of self-regulation, the poor whole situation of social employment etc. The school factors include the set of disciplines of major and the personnel training mode can not keep up with he market; school infrastructure can not keep with the speed of the increasing scale of higher education. The family factors, includes high expectations from parents to children, such as professional status, pursuit of high-wage, and the attitude of being the elite employer. Personal factors include their biases of employer ideas, poor mental situation of choosing careers, and poor conditions of comprehensive quality. Finally, based on the above analysis, the author puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to mitigate the current employment problems of from four points of government, market, universities and community. University students' employment is an integral part of nationwide labor forces' employment, but also has its own particularities. Graduates' Employment is a systematic project. The solution to this problem depends on the close coordination of all aspects of society and participation.
