A Study On The Problem Of Financial Poverty Alleviation In China 's Poverty - Stricken Areas

It is true that, at present, China’s economy is under a rapid development. However, due to the fact that China is still a developing country, the imbalance of economic development among different areas is becoming dramatically serious, the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing at a rapid speed with the practice of the urbanization strategy as well as that the distribution system is not well-organized, the problem of poverty is becoming more and more prominent in China. In the 13 th Five-Year Plan, Chinese government clearly proclaimed to make sure that all the poor people are free from poverty by 2020, to insist on implementing the financial poverty alleviation strategy and to make the poverty alleviation work go on smoothly. When it comes to China’s current financial poverty alleviation work, it has came into a new period, and now our emphasis should put on increasing the income of the poor and ensuring that all the poor people are able to live a well-off life. Then it is well-known that finance, as the core of modern economy, has played an essential role in poverty alleviation. Although China has been engaging in financial poverty alleviation work, and has taken various measures concerning financial poverty alleviation, which have contributed a lot to the economic development in the poor areas, China is always faced with several problems which are difficult to solve about the financial poverty alleviation, such as the low accurate rate of financial poverty alleviation, the low efficiency and the terrible continuity. In addition, another obvious feature of China’s present poverty problem is the continuity of the poor areas. Nowadays, there are still 14 focused poverty countries in China whose economic development is always under a retarded state. Therefore, as for the poverty alleviation work in the next 5 years, financial poverty alleviation ought to take a more progressively social responsibility to play a leading role, to overcome the focal points and difficulties and to promote the comprehensive deepen reforms in the countryside as well as the construction of a well-off society.In this thesis, first and foremost, the author will have an analysis about China’s traditional financial poverty alleviation ways and its objects and have an introduction about the existing situation of China’s current poor areas. Secondly, the author will analyze the existing problems of financial poverty alleviation in the focused poor areas in China, and seek for the deep contradiction under the financial poverty alleviation. Meanwhile, the author is going to make full use of certain successful examples of our countries concerning financial poverty alleviation as well as the financial services in the countryside. Then the author will give a careful analysis and a profound consideration about them and try to find the feasible measures of the problems in the process of financial poverty alleviation. Finally, the author will propose some constructive suggestions on the financial poverty alleviation modes in the poor areas, hoping that these advice can help China come to the goal that all the poor people are able to free from poverty by 2020 and realize the great Chinese Dream.
