Research On Community Impacts Of World Heritage Site Tourism Development

The World Heritage is a kind of approval and highest honor accorded by international community to national culture, historical sites and natural resources scenery of a certain country. Since 1985, when our country officially signed the "Convention for the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage" as a contracting party,40 properties in our country have been ranked among "World Heritage List", including 26 cultural properties,8 natural properties,4 cultural and natural properties,2 cultural landscape properties and 4 intangible cultural heritages. Therefore, China is the third biggest heritage country in the world, only second to Italy and Spain.In recent years, with the rapid development of the tourism, the world heritage site tourism in our country is more and more liked by domestic and foreign tourists. Because of the impact of tourists'demand, the world heritage sites are developed on different levels in our country, and the development of the world heritage sites is enrich the domestic tourist industry. The development of the world heritage sites tourism brings significant economic benefits, but it also raises many questions, and there questions cause the disharmony of tourism development and local community. With the help of tourism, sociology, economics, management and other related theories, and the case study of "Fujian Tulou", this thesis studied the economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts on local communities of the world heritage site tourism development, and it studied the local community residents'perception of tourism impacts. Its results:First, in the early days of world heritage site tourism development, the local community residents perceived more positive effects than negative effects.Second, the community residents'positive perception of the tourism development can be cultivated.Last, for the problems of the interaction in the world heritage site tourism development and the local communities, with the case itself, this thesis constructs the sound interaction model of the world heritage tourism development and the local community.
