Perfonnance management is the most important part of the modern enterprise human resources management .To establish a scientific and effective performance management system is a critical task in performance management research. How to design a set of scientific system which is not only fit for our national condition and up to the demand of development of commercial bank is essential to improve the core competitiveness of commercial bank and implement of sustained development .Thereby,The thesis focus on the construction of the performance management system in bank of china in depth and detail beginning from the analysis in the performance management theory and method combined with the specific practice in bank of china .The thesis is mainly divided into three chapters:The first chapter focus on the modern performance management theory understanding and analysis .Give the. definition of the performance management ,describe .the process of performance management and differentiate the confusing concept-the performance management and the performance check-up.Introduce the target of performance management and the main performance check-up method.Analyze the main misunderstanding in present performance management.The first part form the theory foundation to the research of performance management problem in Bank of China in the behind part.The second part begin from the analysis in the present situation of performance management in Bank of China and introduce the way ,method and process presently implemented in Bank of China.Then analyze and summarize the main problem in Bank of China'sPerformance management compared with the theory illustration in the first part.furthermore summarize the nature of the problem:focus on the check-up and ignore the management. Lastly,identify the role of the performance management in modern human resource management and then give the improved direction of Bank of China's perfonnance management :i.e.transfer from the performance check-up to performance management.
