With the improvement of China's position in the world, the continuous develo pment of politics, economy and culture, the demand of talents with higher quality is also increasing. In recent years, vocational education has been developing rapidly in China, the number of vocational school students has reached 60% of the toal number of university students. Improving the overall quality of vocational college s tudents is the most important task for the vocational education, while fosting music quality is an important means to improve the overall quality of students. Therefor e, vocational college should play a high value on music quality education. Based o n the theory of music education, combined the results of survey in Hunan Vocatio nal college of Science and Technology, Hunan Biological and Electromechanical Po lytechnic, Changsha Commerce & Tourism College, and Changsha Social Work Co llege, this paper presented a detailed analysis about the current situation of vocatio nal college students'music quality education, and thus pointed out the problems, s uch as lack of all-round and correct understanding of music quality education, prob lems in education system, the lower status of music quality education in vocational education, the existence of errors in the tasks and purposes in the music educatio n in higher vocational colleges, the structural problems of music quality education, the poor situation of vocational colleges students'music basis and so on. After th e analysis on the situation and problems of music quality education in vocational c ollege, it put forwards some countermeasures, for example, establishing correct und erstanding of music quality education, making clear training goal of vocational coll ege's music quality education, constructing scientific music curriculum system in hi gher vocational colleges, and strengthening the construction of music teachers of vo cational college, etc.
