Jiao (2008) pointed that the development of information and communication technology has lead to the revolution of informational education in all subjects including English. In the past years, many specialists and practitioners have been studying the importance of information literacy and the integration of information technology in curriculum respectively. Until recently, few researchers have focused on the relationship of teachers'information literacy and the integration of information technology in curriculum. Accordingly, the researcher attempts to examine whether there is relationship between information literacy and the integration of information technology in curriculum of college English teachers.This paper aims to achieve the purpose addressed as follows:(1) What is the present situation of information literacy of college English teachers? Does the level of college English teachers'information literacy differ in terms of demographic variables? If not, what factors might influence their information literacy?(2) What's the general picture of teachers'integration of information technology in English curriculum? Does the level of teachers'integration of information technology in English curriculum differ in terms of demographic variables? If not, what factors might affect their integration of information technology in curriculum?(3) What's the correlation, if any, between teachers'information literacy and their integration of information technology in English curriculum?This study adopts quantitative approach to achieve the purpose. Participants are selected from college English teachers who are working at the school of foreign studies in one university in Jiangsu Province. Information Literacy Scale and Integration of Information Technology in Curriculum Scales are conducted to college English teachers. And there are altogether 51 valid questionnaires collected to analyze the level of college English teachers'information literacy and the extent of integration of information technology in college English curriculum.The findings of this study state that college English teachers'level of information literacy is at high level. There are no significant differences in terms of gender, age, and years of teaching, title, educational level and computer training. Teachers'integration of information technology in curriculum happens to be at high level. However, there is still space for teachers to improve their extent of integration of information technology in curriculum. Similarly, differences on teachers'integration of information technology in curriculum are not significant in terms of gender, age, and years of teaching, title and degree. Computer training exerts significant differences on teachers'integration of information technology in curriculum. This paper recommends the ways of how to improve teachers'information literacy and teachers'integration of information technology in curriculum. On one hand, schools should create favorable environment to strengthen computer training and offer lectures about information technology; on the other hand, college English teachers should communicate with experts of information technology to improve their level of information literacy and their integration of information technology in curriculum.
