The Ethics Foundation Of Modern China Philanthropy

On the Basis of Chinese national situation, the article discussed the present development condition of Chinese modern philanthropy, and based on its deficiencies, through absorbing and learning from traditional as well as global charitable resources, so as to construct the workable theory basis of the development process of Chinese modern philanthropy. The research has a positive significance on the construction of charitable organizations, the improvement of charitable legal system and the maturity of citizen society. And it also has certain theoretical value and practical meaning for implementing the scientific outlook on development, achieving the well-off goal and constructing the socialism harmonious society, and it has a great significance for the realization of modern philanthropy's sustainable developmentThe article could be divided into three main parts. For the first part, it mainly expounded several concepts, including charity, philanthropy, ethical function of charity. For the second part, it had made a mainly analysis in the overall situationon of Chinese modern philanthropy. First of all it had an analysis on the background of China's modern philanthropy and described Chinese modern philanthropy's development course and present situation and also made an analysis on the insufficient, lack of ethics and causes of Chinese modern philanthropy. For the third part, it proposed the route for the construction of modern philanthropy ethics basis, it's necessary to construct the Chinese modern philanthropy ethics foundation through the combining of the traditional perspective and modern perspective, and combining the native perspective and global perspective. According to the inadequacy of Chinese modern philanthropy development, through absorbing and learning from traditional and global charitable resources, it had constructed the main content of Chinese modern philanthropy ethics foundation, so as to promote the construction of Chinese modern philanthropy and its sustainable development.
