Content:Classroom teaching is the most common and most basic activities in school education, how to develop classroom reaching directly affects the teaching quality and teachers and students'positivity. The students'participation in geography classroom means students are the main bodies of the classroom, while teachers play the leading roles in class participation activities. In the course of promoting new curriculums, many regions in China emphasis on students' participation, and focus on training students' initiative and cooperation consciousness,as well as the abilities to solve problems. So involved-in teaching becomes a special landscape in the new curriculum of geography teaching. Even the interaction of both teachers and students in the course of class teaching increasingly attract wide attention. Though the involved-in teaching makes a little progress in current stage, the effectiveness of class participation is still more unsatisfactory.Based on reviewing geography classroom teaching both home and abroad, this paper mainly has a research on the effectiveness of students'geography class participation, and analyzes the influencing factors by using the ways of classroom observation, interviews and document analysis. The conclusions are as follows: reform in geography class is necessary to carry out because the geography teachers' senses of education are changing, and the ways of teaching and studying are also changing, as well as the implementation of new curriculum of geography teaching improve teachers' professional quality, and make students more and more interested in geography study. However, some shortcomings are also exist. Such as the inappropriate application of exploration teaching, formal group activities and weak sense of innovation of teachers' curriculum development and so on. On the base of above research, this paper puts forward to a series of effective strategies and suggestions to help build up better way of students' geography class participation.
