Only classroom teachers, especially classroom teachers of Ideological and Political Course can feel most deeply that students of vocational schools are at the low end of enrolled students of their age. In recent years, the government has paid great attention to vocational education and adopted a serious of policies that encourage the development of vocational education, which has been shown obviously in its great financial supports. However, vocational education is still unattractive. The prominent problems are shortage of and low quality of students, low quality of teaching, and poor public evaluation. To win recognition of the society and become more attractive, vocations schools must raise quality of education at first. The two important indicators in evaluating quality of education are professional skills and moral characters. Ideological and Political Course is the "front" of moral education. And good teaching quality of Ideological and Political Course must have effective classroom management. Therefore, this study attempts to make efforts to help improving classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools.The study was done by analyzing the existing problems in classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools. The author went to the work sites of research objects to investigate the current status of classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools by observing, interviewing and random questionnaire surveys. In this thesis, the problems of why to strengthen management, who, what, and how to manage in classroom teaching of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools are analyzed on the basis of various information collected and previous studies with modern educational theories and management theories. Firstly the definition of classroom teaching management is made and then the reasons of the existing problems are explored in classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools, finally suggestions are made on how to realize effective classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools.This thesis consists of four parts.In Part One, problem of classroom teaching management is raised. The author introduces the background, objectives, significance, methods, and problems to explore of the study.In Part Two, an overview is given on classroom teaching management research. Firstly, the meaning of classroom teaching management is defined and clarified by explaining the definitions of classroom, teaching management, and classroom teaching management and their relationships on the basis of previous research. Then, background theories of classroom teaching management, including intersubjectivity theory, theory of multiple intelligences, Glaser theory, and team management theory are introduced and their requirements to Ideological and Political Course teaching at vocational schools, providing theoretical supports to the author's suggestions on improving the efficiency of classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools in Part Four of the thesis.In Part Three, the present status of classroom teaching management is analyzed. It is the key part of the thesis. Several typical vocational schools in Zhanjiang Prefecture were chosen as the objects of the study. By observing, interviewing and random questionnaire surveying at these schools, the author obtained complete and detailed material for the study. The author analyzes the existing problems of classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools from the respects of classroom teaching management consciousness, management subjective, management details, methods and patterns, elements affecting management, management efficiency and current status. The effects of these problems on teachers, courses, and graduates are discussed, and the reasons of the problems are explored from aspects of teachers, students, courses, teaching and society.Part Four is the final and objective of the thesis, in which the original achievements and opinions of the study are presented. On the basis of large amounts of material in Part Three, and with the support of basic theories introduced in Part Two, some suggestions on classroom evaluation, teacher-student relationship, management improvement by teaching, management and teaching as a whole are proposed to improve classroom teaching management of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools. Firstly, classroom ecology should be re-examined. Secondly, new conceptions of classroom and teacher-student relationship should be constructed, which include the subjective position of students, stressing the individualities of students, special significance of feeling, and establishing a contract relationship between teachers and students in conceptions. The behavior of looking at students with rose-colored spectacles and thinking habit of self-centered should be criticized and got rid of. New conceptions on student should be set up and students should be evaluated correctly. Thirdly, in classroom teaching of Ideological and Political Course at vocational schools, teachers should have the courage to break through the obstacles of school since vocational education is "cross-border education". All the courses require daring "crossing boundary" or "crossing border". Conceptions of creating shared vision of the teaching class, concentrating on practice activities, docking with enterprise and trade standards are proposed and may provide references for classroom teaching management of Political Course at vocational schools.
