| Modern Olympic Games represent the highest level of human competitive sports, which have been pursuing superior sports performance through constantly accomplishing something beyond the limits of human body. Some anthropologists noticed that under the guidance of the principle of eagerly pursuing beyond human body limits as mentioned above, the cultural connotation of competitive sports simply runs after physique'health'at the cost of separating human spirits from sports, and pays less respect to human being, the very creator of the culture of competitive sports. In order to gain better results, some sportsmen practice fraud, give or receive bribes, employ violence, and take stimulants. Besides all these sports scandals, there are also many abnormal sportsmen who have skills without thoughts, and gold medals without moral ethics. Nowadays, people begin to pay more and more attention from physique skills to the cultural values, and try to satisfy themselves not only in the fields of basic needs but also higher level of needs such as integrated development and psychological fulfillments. As the subject of sports activities, human being gains benefit from sports via direct participation and indirect cultural infiltration. Various sports activities are the carriers of sports culture and act on human being directly to enhance his body quality, develop his athletic ability, and improve his body health through human participation. Meanwhile, as a kind of spiritual cultural phenomenon, sports also impact human being's self cognition or understanding, which in turn will affect his ideas and behavioral pattern. This'Inside-Out'function illustrates the close and mutual restraint relation between sports and the formation of humanities spirit. For our contemporary physical cultural workers, it is our obligation to treat and cure the alienated sports activities lacking in the spirit of humanities and the concern for human being, which are the very essence of sports.As for the causes of the fore-mentioned alienation in competitive sports, I think the education and cultural environment of the sportsmen are to be attributable. Based on a through literature consultation and review of lots of theoretical books and articles in sports anthropology, especially in recent research achievements in the status quo of sports talents in mainland China; and questionnaire surveys to and interviews with 50 instructors, 200 young sportsmen, and some officials and experts from some sports schools in Guangxi Autonomous Region, the No.39 Middle School in the City of Xi'an, and Yuncheng Middle School in Shanxi Province, the dissertation analyses the formation and humanity spirit in the education and training of sports reserve talents, and tries to raise some suggestions and policy proposals.1. Most of the sportsmen trained in the sports schools are in youth, which is a key period in the modeling of their personalities and other qualities both in body and mind, during which purposive instillation, guidance, and disciplining play a decisive impact on them.2. Instructors and sportsmen are the major participants in the process of sports training. As the organizer and dominant player in the training, the instructors play a crucial role in the education and formation of humanities spirit, which demands a high quality not only in physique skills but in professional and moral ethics.3. As the place to educate and train future sportsmen, the sports schools have to develop themselves to satisfy the integrated needs of their students. The educational idea of the sports school affects the overall quality of the student-sportsmen directly.4. The core educational idea for the'combination of education with sport'is to call for more attention to the humanity spirit and overall development of the sportsmen, in other words, to take the'sportsmen'as'men'first. |
