With the deepening of the reform and innovation of our country's basic education, the way of autonomous learning is accepted by society, teachers and students, people are more and more profoundly realizing that autonomous learning is important to improve students' comprehensive quality and the future development.However, at present our country's independent learning ability of middle school students is worrying, the learning state phenomenon exists in high schools, the students' self-study space and ability is not optimistic. One of the important reasons is that many middle school teachers can't deeply and thoroughly understand the autonomous learning. Which leads to teachers can't freely use the relevant knowledge, attitude and evaluation to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability in the classroom teaching activities. Therefore, it is necessary to study the present situation of teachers' autonomous learning, which plays a positive role in improving teachers' self-study ability and professional development.This article which based on the related literature in China tries to comb the autonomous learning of teachers , and chooses one of the central plains -- high school teachers of Botou city, Hebei province as respondents. Then does a survey on the present situation of their independent study, analyses and discusses the problems and their reasons of the present situation of autonomous learning, and finally proposes advice for promoting high school teachers autonomous learning.The results of this study showed that the autonomous learning situation of high school teachers of Botou city presents several following l characteristics: Firstly, high school teachers on the autonomic learning knowledge exist deviation; Secondly, High school teachers have a strong intrinsic motivation; Thirdly, most high school teachers like going learn to widen their horizon, and seeking self development; Fourthly, the autonomous learning ability high school teachers is weak; Lastly, high school teachers are lack of sufficient conditions of autonomous learning support.Our advice is: Education policy for teachers needs to build a good social environment for teachers' independent learning, school should build autonomous learning environment as a platform structure for teacher's professional development, and individual teacher must set up their autonomous learning thought to improve the ability of independent learning.
