Research On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of The Extracurricular Reading Of Senior Students In Sports School

Extracurricular reading is the extention of Chinese classroom teaching. It is of crucial importance for the students'development of world outlooking, intellegence and lifelong learning habit, especially for the sports school students. This paper will investigate the current situation of extracurricular reading of the senior school students in Wenzhou Sports School, analyse the relative reasons and provide some countermeasures by using reserch methods such as questionnaire, interview and case analysis.The investigation research shows some results. First, there are some similarities between the sports school students and ordinary high school students The extracurricular reading range is wide and the purpose is to relax. The students'subjective sense of choosing the extracurricular reading material is strong but without enough teachers'guaidance. The borrowing rate of the library books is low and the atmosphere of extracurricular reading in the campus is not good enough. Second, Sports School students'reading has its own problems, such as poor interest of extracurricular reading, little quantity of classics reading and low efficiency. The author analyses the reasons based on the factors of ability, non-intelligence and environment and put forward some strategies of the extracurricular reading instrucion. First, understand students'psychology and raise their extracurricular reading interest. Second, respect students'personality and develop their extracurricular reading habit. Third, enhance the instruction of extracurricular reading methods and improve reading quantity and quality. Fourth, offer various Chinese language activities and construct extracurricular atmosphere. At the end of this papar, the author expounds the significance, principles and measures of the evaluation system of the extracurricular readin, which is the guarantee of the success of the extracurricular reading.The author has made some beneficial attempt and further research in her teaching practice.
