People are faced with a profound reform whose main body is knowledge and talents in the 21st century. The reform is not only in the enterprise that pursues profits, but also in the colleges whose functions are instruction, scientific research and social service. The college teachers are the excellent group in the intellectuals. They cultivate high-level talents and make scientific research, so their work is not only related to higher education's success or failure, but also directly affects the quality of talents and functions of college. College teachers' job performance is closely related with their job positivity; however the premise of mobilizing teachers' job positivity is understanding and meeting their phychological expectations. Therefore the paper takes college teachers as object description to research psychological contract's effect on college teachers' job performance, and then formulate feasible tactics for improving teachers' job performance.Firstly, this paper summarizes interrelated literature of psychological contract and job performance which is based on management, statistics and managerial psychology theory. Secondly, according to western colleges' characteristics, this paper designs psychological contract questionnaire and job performance questionnaire of L college teachers. On the basis of inspecting for reliability and validity of questionnaires, it definites the psychologica (?)ontract dimension and job performance dimension of L college teachers with the factor analysis. Thirdly, on the basis of certain hypotheses, this paper establishes a presumptive model of psychological contract's effect on college teachers' job performance. And then according to the collected data, it carries on the multi-dimensional layer regression analysis between psychological contract and job performance with the SPSS 15.0 to validate the hypotheses, and obtain a conclusion of psychological contract's effect on college teachers'job performance. Before using the regression analysis, this paper chooses gender, work seniority and educational background as the controlled variables to eliminate the influence of individual differences. Finally, it puts forward tactics and suggestions to promote college teachers' job performance.
