As we all know, it is very important to carry out enquiry learning in Senior Middle School. In the beginning,this thesis analyses the connotation, the character and the study meaning of enquiry learning to help its readers understand the topic. Then it analyses the existing problems in enquiry learning now: the unreasonable choice of the enquiry problems; the improper grasp of autonomy; the lack of reasonable lead-in of openness; the course is too noisy and the result is unsatisfying; the innovation isn't carried out in practice, and so on. It analyses the reasons from three different angles: teachers, students and evaluation system. The main passage comes up with the ways of solving the problems, including making preparations, determining problems, making methods, carrying out activities, exchanging results, and evaluating activities. Some practical strategies related to enquiry learning are put forward to ensure carry out the enquiry learning better and make teachers and students develop together.
