The distinctive feature of the 21st century is that human beings come into an information age. Countries around the world are seeking for effective ways to promote modernization of education and achieve educational reform and development through the application of IT to education. The task of information technology in education is to urge the teachers to apply information technology to education and instruction and achieve the truly effective integration of information technology and curriculum. Thus to promote the reform and development of education and promote the comprehensive development of students.The thesis covers the background , the process and the meaning of the integration of information technology and curriculum, explains the base of the integration of information technology and curriculum , analyses the problems with the integration of information technology and the biology teaching in junior high school and concludes the characteristics of the effective integration . On this basis , the study of the teaching practice and evaluation under the effective integration of information technology and the biology curriculum of junior high school is conducted .The study shows , based on the integration strategy , the effective integration of information technology and the biology curriculum in junior high school can significantly stimulate students'interest in Biology, mobilize their active learning and greatly improve students' information literacy and academic achievement in Biology. According to the teaching practice, the thesis also draws up evaluating indicators for the integration to further guide the teaching practice .Finally, the thesis puts forward the prospect of the study, that is, providing requirements of the integration of information technology and the biology curriculum in junior high school, and some thoughts of the study, for example, how to realize the integration in and after class, how to improve the teaching efficiency of the network environment ,how to quantify the evaluation system and so on.
