In recent years, the traditional Chinese culture has become more and more popular and respected around the world. Most elements of traditional Chinese culture are passed on and displayed through art. "Art curriculum standards" clearly states:"The Value of the Arts curriculum is to guide students to participate in the cultural heritage and exchange." However, due to the estrangement caused by historical periods, the impact of cultural diversity and profound Chinese culture, students today know little about our national art and the Chinese culture carried in it. The traditional Chinese culture is deep and complicated, while the material resource of traditional Chinese art are segmented in the textbooks, and the diversity of course is relatively simple, the contents are stereotyped as well, thus students have not enough interest in learning and find it hard to comprehend. Now throughout the country the art of traditional Chinese culture curriculum is being developed. Therefore, our school is carrying on exploration and experiment in school-oriented curriculum development in this field considering the present true practice in our area and school and the cognitive status of the students.This study follows the "art curriculum standards", with reference to Ren Mei version textbooks, and develops the elementary school-oriented curriculum base on traditional Chinese culture. This curriculum is characterized by the integration humanities, integration, being scientific, artistic and innovative. It notes the number and percentage of traditional Chinese culture courses in the whole textbook to ensure a balanced curriculum structure. The models of school-based curriculum development is diversified through innovative model programs, curriculum integration model, curriculum and curriculum debug mode choice model, in order to develop a school-based curriculum that suits the school and the student's situation. According to "Art Curriculum Standards" four fields in art curriculum is determined, namely the field of modeling and performance, the field of designing and applications, the field of appreciating and reviewing, and the field of synthesis and exploration. Some classic Lesson samples are created, such as "Blue and White Porcelain", "Chinese Pottery", "Peking Oprah Masks "" Splendid Chinese Culture "," Olympics Symbols in Chinese Style" and" Paper-cut "," Floral Florid "and" Chinese Dragon "and so on. The teachers develop a rich curriculum resource and accumulate more experience and knowledge through reading and personal experience, reinforce the theory and practice of traditional skills. The information technology has become the media and tools of art performance. The teachers learn Photoshop7, Authorware6.5, Flash8 and other software to make courseware format, enrich course content, change the angle and to reform teaching methods. The teachers may use the modern technology to illustrate traditional culture, use the popular music to transfer classical art and express art that's close to modern life. It realizes the traditional Chinese art through the creation of mood and situation, across time and space and join two generations the ancient and the modern, the two parties (East and West. The teachers design study cards, assess student learning and complete appreciation of traditional Chinese culture.This study can help to promote the comprehensive development and individual performance of students, and promote information technology capacity of teachers, cultural literacy and the ability to reflect, build up the subject's featured label.
