Development of the times made new demands for education, the traditional teaching methods can't meet the needs of the students for knowledge; inquiry learning is used as a new way to introduce education into teaching them.In order to put the inquiry learning into practice, the study based on constructivism learning theory, cognitive flexibility learning theory and situated cognition learning theory. In information technology as a mean, it takes the teaching environment in the universities as the background. And it depends on the "Modern Educational Technology". Hope that through the study can prove that: in the university teaching environment, students make inquiry learning in support of information technology are valuable. Through inquiry learning, it develops students'interest in learning, improves their information literacy, and enhances innovation and practical ability to apply what they have learned.Examination implemented in four classes, two experimental classes, the two contrastive classes. In the public course of "Modern Educational Technology", the teacher used two ways, reception learning and inquiry learning, to teach the four classes. By the type and process of inquiry learning, work out a reasonable program of instructional design, and used it with teaching. After four months with the teaching practice, inquiry learning has a certain effect for which improves student's learning. The result shows that: to some extent, inquiry learning makes that students become the main body of the learning process, have some creative thinking, take the initiative explore and put forward their views.
